I am not religious but religious iconography has always fascinated me. Several years ago the saying "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."captured my imagination and I decided to illustrate the saying as my holiday card for that year.

Televirus (my old television set + the animated life cycle of a virus) was created for a live video projection event in 2000 . Televirus was inspired by two old books that I found in the trash: "American Hair" (a beauty salon hair styles guide from the 1980's) and "The Cell" (a volume from an old Time Life Books series).
